NEW Indie Lee Nutrient Oils and Bath Soaks

Taking time for one’s self should always be a priority – It’s one of the reasons I decided to add Nutrient Oils and Bath Soaks to the Indie Lee family.

Indie has gone back to basics – literally. I she locked herself in her lab, played mad scientist / alchemist, and loved every minute.

Indie Lee was founded on the idea of empowering others to make healthier choices and live their best life. I realized we needed to create products that not only addressed your skin, but also your personal quest for inner-balance, self-care and well being.

The result: Our new Nutrient Oils and Bath Soaks.

Now you’ve all heard me say it before – your skin is your largest organ and up to 60% of what you put on it is directly absorbed into your bloodstream. Too often we focus the majority of our energy (and money) on products intended solely for our face. In reality, your face is but a small fraction of our skin’s surface area. In turn, these new products were created to address the rest of that equation – your entire body.

I’m sure you’ve all noticed that in recent years, the notion of taking care of oneself became looked upon as an act of indulgence. Like it’s a bad thing? I’m not saying you should all selfishly toss your responsibilities to the wind, but I am saying that perhaps one of the greatest responsibilities we have is to take care of ourselves both physically & spiritually. It affects you and those around you. Take time to recenter.

My hope is that you will love these products as much as I do. I hope you see them as an excuse to take a few moments to care for yourself – for your mind, body and soul. Create rituals. Learn from and share your experiences. It’s together we can start a deeper dialogue about what self-care and wellness really means.

 BATH SOAK INGREDIENTS

Dead Sea Salt - Highest mineral content of all salts. The waters from the Dead Sea are unique in that they contain 27% of various salts as compared to 3% in normal sea water. Further, while sodium accounts for approximately 80% of the salt content of normal sea water, it comprises much less of the salt total in water from the Dead Sea. The balance of the salts in Dead Sea water are magnesium, potassium, calcium chloride, and bromides.

Magnesium is important for both combating stress and fluid retention, slowing skin aging, and calming the nervous system. Calcium is effective at preventing water retention, increasing circulation, and strengthening bones and nails. Potassium energizes the body, helps to balance skin moisture, and is a crucial mineral to replenish following intense exercise. Bromides act to ease muscle stiffness and relax muscles. Sodium is important for the lymphatic fluid balance (this in turn is important for immune system function). Bathing in high-quality sea salt could replenish the minerals that are critical to our skin metabolism.

Dead Sea bath salts aid in the treatment of common dry skin conditions like eczema and psoriasis. They’re known to reduce pain and inflammation from arthritis and rheumatism. The high mineral content is credited with the cleansing and detoxification of the skin.

Himalayan Pink Salt -Contain small amounts of calcium, iron, potassium and magnesium. It also contains slightly lower amounts of sodium than regular salt. The trace minerals are believed to help balance the body’s alkaline/acidity and dissolve and eliminate sediment.

Pacific Sea Salt - All-natural, solar evaporated sea salt, harvested off the north coast of California.

Atlantic Sea Salt - Collected from deep, clean ocean waters by channeling the sea water into large clay trays and allowing the sun and wind to evaporate it naturally.

Jasmine - Sweet, floral. Helps calm and nourish dry skin. Perfect for dry skin and sensitive skin. Anti-inflammatory effect in joints. Rejuvenating effect on dry wrinkled, aging skin. Antiseptic.

Ylang Ylang - Floral and sweet. Aids exhaustion and treats insomnia. Antidepressant, aphrodisiac. Great for treating acne, anti aging. Suitable for both dry and oily skin, having a balancing action on the secretion of sebum. Tonic effect on scalp. Calm irritated skin (as well as bites and stings).
